Abstract

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today, as it is linked to many consequences that undermine various aspects of life on Earth. In fact, it is such a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that it can no longer be considered solely an environmental problem. Its consequences extend to development, health, social, and even security issues.

This study therefore aims to investigate whether there is an interactive relationship between this phenomenon and the armed conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa, a region that is considered one of the most affected by climate change despite its limited contribution to the occurrence of this phenomenon. On the other hand, the study seeks to explore the impact that this interactive relationship, if it exists, may have on girls’ education in this region.

The interaction between these two crises can lead to girls dropping out of school, which is what we will try to discover in this study.
